About Me
My name is Justice Kwabena Ankamah Jnr. I was born on the 3rd day of June 1980. Maternally, I'm the only boy, fourth child among 6 siblings. Paternally there are 4 other brothers and i think 2 other sisters (of which I'm not too sure). I started my basic education in 1985 in Kumasi in one of the best school as at that time, Cambridge International School - Kwadaso. When got to class 2 because of my excellent academic performance, I was promoted one year ahead. In 1990 when I was to go to class 5, I left Cambridge International School for Peter's Educational Center also in Kumasi, Kwadaso. This was due to some problems at home which compelled my Daddy to send me to a boarding school. Cambridge Int. as at that time had no boarding facility. Peter's Educational Center is just adjecent Cambride International School. At Cambride I was known as Gorden Ankamah. When I got to Peter's my Dad changed my name and named me after himself. That is why I have Junior attached to my name. In 1995 I sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and came out with a distinction (aggregate 08). Because of the selection of schools I did during the BECE, I had to settle for Drobo Senior Secondary School in 1996. This is because my Dad was at that time in Cote Divoire and my mother Comfort Effah did not buy the idea of me school in far away Cape Coast (Adisadel College) where I gained admission. She argued that Drobo or Gonasua (my village ) was too far from the school and if I should encounter any hardships there would be nobody to help me out. I read Science and performed extraordinarily well. I was hardworking and was really liked by all my teachers. I gained a Government Good Academic Performance Scholarship at the end of the first year. I was always first in the end of year exams for all the timeI was in Drobo Secondary School. I also won the district best student award in 1997 and I received my award during Ghana's 40th Independence anniversary celebration. However in 1997, i took an Entrance examination at St. James Seminary and Secondary School. I passed and was addmitted, but I had to start from first year again. I continued to read Science. I was always among the best 4 in my class. At St. James I was a House Treasurer (St. Augustines House) and also the President of the Debating Club in 1999. I participated in an Aids Awares Quiz for my school which we came first. I was the schoolartist as well and was into things like Making Banners, Flags, Posters and Marking All School Furniture. In November/December 1999, I took the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination. I had the second best Aggregate in my school (Aggregate 12 which is also a distiction). As at that time SSCE leavers had to wait for one year befor entering the University. Thus between January 2000 and September 2001, I thought Maths and Science at Trinity Preparatory in Drobo. My students still revere me because of my selfless dedication to duty. On 25 September 2001, I reported on the Campus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology as a Freshman to study Bsc. Mechanical Engineering...... After Universisty, I worked with the Jaman South District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme. I designed ID Card Making database for them and this innovation saw me travelling to Sampa, Techiman, Wenchi, Dormaa, Brekum, Sunyani, Nkoranza and Kintampo to do same for them. This really brought me CASH. During this period, National Service was close so the Scheme offered me the opportunity to do my National Service there, but I was advised not to start work after school in my hometown. One very good friend who I was with at the Health Insurance linked me to one Grant who is currently at CFAO - Ghana. Grant was formally at Toyota Ghana so he led me there and I met the Human Resource Manageress. She scared me initailly, but she was fantastic and later offered me the opportunity to take my National Service at Toyota Ghana. The Story has just begun.........
